Alabama State Games COVID-19 Safety Response
May 26, 2020
The Alabama State Games is dedicated to the safety of our athletes, coaches, officials, and fans who will be participating in the Alabama State Games XXXVIII events, scheduled for July 31 - August 2, 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a fluid situation, with the state of Alabama regularly updating and revising the orders concerning how citizens and organizations are to operate safely, including allowing school sports to begin practicing very soon. We are optimistic that our sports competitions will carry on as scheduled.
We will continue to follow and strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Governor, the Alabama Department of Public Health, the host cities of Dothan, Enterprise, and Ozark, the host counties of Houston, Dale, and Coffee, as well as Fort Rucker. Partnering with these leadership entities as well as our venue hosts in decision making will assure an appropriate and timely resolution.
We are excited to proceed with planning the 2020 Alabama State Games and invite you to join us in the Wiregrass July 31 - August 2. Registration will open by Monday, June 15. We can assure you that safety comes first, and we will continually update you as we receive new information that will apply. Help us make this year's Games the best yet; Come Together at the Alabama State Games!
